It is so tiny that we were made to stand by the coffee machine until there was a seat. We were told they wouldn't bring our food until we had a seat, but alas the food came out and we were still standing! I had to 'enjoy' my lunch whilst getting in the way of the smokers who wanted to go through into the garden. Forgive me if i'm wrong but I like to go to a cafe and have somewhere to sit.

Had a lovely breakfast with excellent service this morning, admittedly it was a late breakfast/brunch. Maybe I'm lucky in picking a quiet time or people should cut the staff some slack when it's busy perhaps. The waiter even suggested we move inside when seats became available so our food and drinks would stay warm longer (and we'd be away from "the children). Sure the place is small but the food is amazing and very reasonably priced.

Yes i would have to say that the last review is accurate. The owner is rude to customers and staff, overpriced and far too small.

At Le Peche Mignon the food is fresh and the coffee delicious. However, the people who seem to frequent this humble little abode tend to be a little on the snobby side. I ordered a salad and a latte at the counter but was rudely told to sit down and wait to be served. It was fairly busy and the only table inside was full of people packed like sardines. When i finally got served I had to wait an extremely long time for my coffee because they also do takeaway coffee. This proved to be a bit of a problem because the staff were serving takeaway customers first, some who had even come in after me! The staff can be a bit short with you but they also seemed to be quite stressed. I can only guess this must have been the owner who charged in (an angry looking french man) and began to condescend his staff for not being quick enough. To be honest the staff seemed a little embarrassed and i can understand why they weren't perhaps as friendly as they could be if they constantly had to contend with such a rude boss. When the salad and coffee did finally arrive it was lovely, but i am not going to go back because the atmosphere in their is not at all pleasant for the customers or the staff!

It's an epicerie. Not a greasy spoon.
Food is delicious - a selection of imported goodies from across the channel. It's a family owned place and the guys there are wonderful.
Come here for neighbourly chat, excellent coffee, croque monsieur if you're eating in, take away a chicken and selection of cheeses for a Sunday feast.
Bon ap!

I'd have to agree with Adrian: this place is a good one to miss! It's not especially overpriced, but it is: very small, so rarely any seating available; full of boring toffs; rude staff; bad coffee (which is some achievement considering they use the very excellent Monmouth beans!) It's a shame as Holloway really does need a foodie establishment......this just simply isn't it! If you think this is good Matt you have many treats yet to discover in London!

ignore the daft comment from adrianrestoshop, absolute nonsense. This place is an absolute joy. Everything in it is delicious, the bread, patisseries, cakes etc. are the real deal and the staff are charming and helpful. I go in there daily and I've never seen an ignorant toff. It's a bit expensive, but only a bit, and anyway you get what you pay for.

This place is awful. It's always packed with ignorant toffs, The staff are unfriendly and unaccomodating. If it's not on the menu you can't order it, even a basic bacon or sausage sandwich. But you can order bacon and egg, and sausage with fried breakfast. The owners and staff are victims of their own (success?)
