Côte Bistro

   Côte Bistro

Recently opened, this restaurant has been awarded "Best Value Restaurant" in the UK in the 2009 "Which? Good Food Guide". Inspiration for food and design comes from a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros that populate Paris. The idea is to offer simple bistro cooking as locals turn away from expensive and over complicated cooking in formal restaurants to return to the basics of French cuisine. Menu offers classic dishes such as steak frites, salad niçoise, free-range chicken from the Les Landes area of France alongside lighter dishes such as roast sea bass with olive oil mash with a garlic and tomato dressing or salmon hollandaise. Crème caramel and crème brûlée are house specialities for dessert. The atmosphere is informal and friendly. Meal and wine, about £15-25.

Welcoming staff, sometimes a little chaotic with different servers however the food is lovely, really has the same taste as small bistros in France. The weekend and early evening deals are fantastic value and well worth trying out. On a cold January it is a welcoming spot. Book yourself a table and enjoy.

a poor restaurant. cote richmond is well known for its slow and impersonal service. its food offering comes nowhere near to making up for this. As a large chain a lot of the food is not prepared in house, so what you get are generically flavoured and bland dishes presented with no passion. this is a pretty shallow take on a french bistro

I had a fantastic meal at Cote in Kensington last week, the food was really excellent (especially the steak) and what's more - it didn't cost the earth. Very well priced food, and our waitress was friendly and recommended the creme caramel for dessert. We had a nice table overlooking the courtyard, - Cote is well worth a visit!

I went to Cote Bistro last Thursday. Had an excellent meal and the service was outstanding, very friendly and accommodating. I can understand why they won the 'Best Value Restaurant in the UK' award by the Good Food Guide 2009. I had the steak tartare for starter and a succulent Les Landes chicken which is one of my favourite dishes.
