   National Theatre

The National has three theatres - the Olivier, Lyttelton and Cottesloe - and on each day three different shows are presented up . They also have a programme of talks and events - Platforms- giving insight into the work of the theatre, plus outdoor events in summer. Every day there is free music in the main foyer, prior to performances, and free exhibitions. Three theatres on the South Bank in London, the National presents an eclectic mix of new plays and classics, with seven or eight productions in repertory at any one time. It aims constantly to re-energise the great traditions of the British stage and to expand the horizons of audiences and artists alike. It aspires to reflect in its repertoire the diversity of our culture.
