Which one of us hasn’t been mesmerised and amazed at least once in our lives by a magic trick or a sleight of hand? More to the point who doesn’t love magic?

French born director Louis Leterrier brings you that same wonder in his new Franco-American Blockbuster “Now You See Me” in which 4 street magicians team up to carry out a series of seemingly impossible heists that leave FBI and Interpol agents Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo)and Alma Dray (Mélanie Laurent) mystified and always playing catch up.

Mélanie Laurent’s effortless acting and incredible presence on screen makes it clear as to why French imports are the ‘in’ thing in Hollywood. Though the ending fails to live up to the rest of the movie Leterrier’s skill is clear as he brings us back to the basics of magic and tackles some of the cynicism surrounding it. All in all this leaves us with an easily enjoyable film that can be enjoyed by both cynics and magic lovers and unlike some movies, uses its star studded cast to its full potential.
