A true French phenomenon. It is official, Dany Boon's film has become the biggest French success of all time in France with over 17.5 million entries across the country. It has now put Gerard Oury's  'La Grande Vadrouille'  which totalled 17.27 million entries, firmly in second place. Dany hopes that they will eventually beat Titanic with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet which achieved nearly 20.6 millions.
Do not miss one of the funniest movies of the year.

Mister Lonely is a very unusual, sometimes even strange film, which combines two stories, without apparent link between them.  The first story is about a Michael Jackson impersonator (Diego Luna) who lives alone in Paris and performs in the streets to make ends meet. At a show in a retirement home, Michael falls for a beautiful Marilyn Monroe look-alike (Samantha Morton) who suggests he moves to a commune of impersonators in the Scottish Highlands. Michael discovers there Abraham Lincoln, the Queen, the Pope, Madonna and the others preparing for the commune’s first gala.

This spring BFI examines the cultural currents around ‘les évènements’ of May ’68 via the vibrant French cinema of that era. This turning point in European film history is illustrated with seminal titles such as The Bride Wore Black (La Mariée était en noir, 1967), Weekend (1967) and William Klein’s Who Are You, Polly Maggoo? (1966).
From April to June and across London, this major season explores 1968 culture, politics and thought and their legacy manifestations in cinema, visual art, literature, music and activism.

Discover some of the best new French Cinema at the 22nd London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival including François Ozon's latest film, Angel. It  takes its cues from the glory days of Hollywood melodrama as Romola Garai in the title role joins Sam Neill and Charlotte Rampling in a sly critique of the fleeting nature of fame as it charts the rise and fall of a romantic novelist in the early 20th century.
