	Rachid Bouchareb's heartfelt and finally heartrending World War II drama draws attention to the fact that it echoes the kind of tough, humanist war movies made in Hollywood in the late 40s and 50s. That's certainly no failing: a tribute to the sacrifices made by hundreds of thousands of North Africans drafted into the French army to help liberate la patrie. 	At age 88, French singer Henri Salvador records his new album in Brazil, the country that welcomed him with open arms in the 1940s. “Brazil would be the perfect title for this album,” comments producer and arranger Jacques Morelenbaum between two takes with his orchestra, one of the most renowned of the Rio studios.
