Kate Mosse
Talks

7 July : Kate Mosse on Maupassant at the French Institute

07/07/2011 from 19:00 to 21:00

Because reading may be the most frivolous
and crucial thing ever…

Because discovering a writer
is a love story like no other...

Because today's writers are born
of yesterday's authors...

Because French classics
belong to everyone...

Because, as Maupassant himself says, 'the modern eye can discern an infinite range of nuance.'

Every month, between January and July 2011, a British writer will come and talk about his favourite French author at the Institut français.

Kate Mosse is the author of two non-fiction books, one play and four previous novels, including the tremendously successful Labyrinth. Her last book, The Winter Ghosts, has been published in paperback by Orion in October 2010. She lives with her husband and children in West Sussex and Carcassonne.
