From 30/10/2009 to 31/10/2009 at 23:59

The choir ‘Filigrane’ was founded in Strasbourg in October 2006 by Jean-Philippe Billmann. It is composed of 16 well trained young men and women most of whom are or were studying at the French conservatoire.

The conductor, Jean-Philippe Billmann, was awarded a gold medal in choir conducting from the French conservatoire and has then studied conducting at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg (Germany) with Prof. Dr. Hans Michael Beuerle. Jean-Philippe is now a professor at the European Institute for Choral Singing in Luxembourg and at Strasbourg’s University in France.

In its programme called “Eternal Night”, Filigrane proposes a programme of 20th century sacred music with pieces by Eric Whitacre, Francis Poulenc, Urmas Sisask, Benjamin Britten or Arvo Pärt.
