Titi Robin in concert
29/09/2009
First ever UK release of CD/DVD album 'Gitans', Titi Robin’s most celebrated work (1993) featuring the ‘Gipsy queen of India’ - Gulabi Supera - and supported with 3 live dates including a performance at the sensational Cadogan Hall in London.
Guitarist and oud player, Titi Robin, is regarded as one of the leading gypsy music exponents and for the best part of thirty years has been writing, collaborating and recording a style of music loosely based on what he terms “the Meditarranean culture” intertwining gipsy music from Spain, South of France, North Africa, India and the Balkans.
In 2008 Titi Robin was nominated for a BBC World Music Award and in early 2009 performed at WOMAD Australia and New Zealand.
September Mini Tour
The shows promise to be a multi sensory flamenco spectacular with Maria Robin adding her spell binding vocals and physical presence, weaving through a myriad of Gipsy languages and traditional dance. Each performance will highlight Titi’s thirty-year career spanning his early North African influenced compositions and his latest translations of contemporary flamenco and music from the Mediterranean.

Why can't he come to Brighton and play on a weekend. Some of us work and can't make it to London during the week!! Have been a long time fan and would love to hear if he has any more concerts in England. Nik
